“To laugh often and much. To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children. To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others. To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition. To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

I will change the world and I will do it in small ways every day.

I will use my skills, talents, and strengths to serve others because I am at my best when I am helping others succeed. I will volunteer my personal time to causes and organizations I care about and developing the leadership skills of youth and my peers. I will strive to work for organizations that believe in the power of service and the importance of developing leaders from marginalized groups. I will empower and uplift my peers, coworkers, family, and friends by aiding them in their own personal missions (pay it forward). I will make an effort to work in an environment where I can start and develop new projects and work with people on a daily basis. I will strive to incorporate love, courageousness, and peaceful social change into my life and I will renew myself by spending time outside and with good friends who support me and my goals.

I firmly believe that anyone can change the world through collaboration and dedication. I believe that all youth have the power to succeed. I am passionate about developing young leaders because I believe that young people need programs that challenge them and help them build leadership skills, confidence, and self-esteem. I want to teach the world about the importance and power of love, which never hurts you or belittles you, but always empowers you.

I am a work in progress and I can do anything I set my mind to.
